Lumina Laser and Skin Care brings "Gentle Aesthetics" to Snohomish County

Did you think you had to go to Seattle for expertise in laser & IPL , medical peels,
botox, or dermal fillers?  Not so! Tucked away in Everett is a medical
office bringing 21st-century skin care to Snohomish County.  Lumina Laser and Medical Skin Care
provides these state-of-the-art, medically proven treatments.

Medical Director, Victoria Stocker, M.D., says:  “It’s a new era for those who’ve been
frustrated by difficult skin conditions.   We can step in with real solutions where standard
medical care and/or non-medical treatments have been ineffective.   The goal is to address
these problems that bother people, so they can focus on other things.   Medical aesthetics
allows people to look their refreshed best.  We truly enjoy bringing patients the art and
science of effortless skin.”

Progressive skin care with sensible people.   Lumina staff’s experience and training are key
reasons why patients from Seattle to Kirkland to Monroe are so happy with their experience.
But also, says Dr. Stocker, “we are regular people, too.  We know that a natural-looking
result is important.  And we take the time to understand your priorities and create an
individualized treatment plan.  With a full range of treatments at Lumina, we can offer
what’s best for YOU.”

“Don’t forget the basics!” says Dr. Stocker.  She is a UW Medical School graduate who has
been caring for patients and their skin conditions for over 10 years.   In addition, she has
trained widely in aesthetics and is certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
Wear a sunscreen daily with an SPF of at least 15, even in the winter, and make sure it
offers both UVA & B protection.  “UVA rays were previously thought safe,”  she says, “but
they contribute significantly to skin cancer risk and to aging of the skin.”   UVA is
present all day, and easily passes through windows.  In summer, use SPF 30 and reapply every
2-3 hours.  “Really slather it on: a thin film will not give you the listed spf.  We should
also be sleeping 8 hours per night, eating healthfully, and exercising regularly.”
