Are you telling all your friends, or is Lumina your own skin care secret?
Of course, many of us love to talk about what we're doing with our skin care, but the choice is always yours. As with any medical facility, your privacy is protected by law, but more importantly, it is protected by our respect for every individual patient.
There are several policies we employ to protect each patient's privacy. We list them here for you to know how we protect your privacy. And so, if we don't tell you exactly how we made your friend look so terrific, we know you will understand!
• We will not discuss your being our patient, your treatment, or your results with anyone unless you give us your specific written consent. This includes family members and friends that you may refer to us for treatment.
• If we see you away from the Lumina office, we would love to greet you. For your privacy, however, we will do so only if you say hello first.
• For our general medical patients, we keep a separate aesthetic skin care chart. Skin care treatment information is not kept in the general medical chart.
• We do need a way to contact you to confirm appointments and reach you in case of a medical concern. We are happy to use your preferred contact information.
• We do not transmit information to 3rd parties. If you've spoken with your insurance company and feel they might cover a treatment, we can provide you with a medical letter stating your diagnosis and treatment. You may submit this to your insurance company, but you would still be responsible for payment .
